HARIO glass

In 2009, EDWIN, the big Japanese jeans company, produced a collection called "Something by Helena Sellergren" where my drawings and paintings were used as decorations on clothes, bags, shoes, scarves, etc...

All of these products were then sold together with other licensed products and with my hand-printed artworks in several sales corners in department stores in Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka.

With my agency ROM PROJECT in Tokyo, at the beginning of our collaboration, we started to develop a CONCEPT and a logo. I also produced a CONCEPT BOOK, explaining how important it is today to be surrounded by authentic images of nature, which appeal to something deep within us. Nature has its inner language that speaks to us all the time!

I worked with natural shapes that I enlarged from photos or scanned directly from leaves. We tried to transmit this "natural" nature through my creations through various products, to give more poetry of nature to our daily life.

The Seto Ceramics is a very special white porcelain, produced in the Seto region of Aichi prefecture south of Tokyo in Japan. When the Japanese choose white porcelain, they always choose SETO!

In 2011, the company MM Yoshihashi made a beautiful collection with my leaf designs, using high-quality printing techniques and very special silver platinum paint for some of the leave patterns.

To show the link between my works of art and the products, was the fundamental idea, to show the artistic value of the objects.

I had several articles in the Scandinavian Style Magazine on what I wanted to express with my "inner language of nature" to the Japanese people...

Rom Project then organized many art exhibitions for me in Tokyo
